Importers face continued pressure from volatile exchange rates and global supply chain disruptions, which affect purchasing costs, delivery schedules and product availability.
Rising shipping costs, foreign exchange fluctuations and changing consumer demand are reshaping Egypt’s automotive accessories and spare parts market, with the growing presence of electric vehicles expected to create new demands across the sector.
The challenges were highlighted by Badr El Din Automotive Accessories & Tuning during its participation in Autotech 2026, a three-day exhibition that opened on October 9 and brings together companies operating in automotive spare parts, accessories, components and aftermarket services.
Importers face continued pressure from volatile exchange rates and global supply chain disruptions, which affect purchasing costs, delivery schedules and product availability. These conditions have increased the importance of inventory management and monitoring import costs, according to the company.
China remains a major sourcing market for automotive accessories and spare parts supplied to Egypt, supported by its broad manufacturing base and range of products serving different consumer segments.
Demand is also shifting toward technology-driven accessories that combine functionality with vehicle customization. These include smart screens, LED and ambient lighting systems, vehicle protection films and interior upgrades.
The growing presence of electric vehicles in Egypt could further reshape the aftermarket, creating potential demand for accessories, equipment and specialized components suited to EVs. The scale of this shift will depend on how adoption develops and how suppliers adapt their product ranges and sourcing channels.
Badr El Din Automotive Accessories & Tuning CEO and Founder Badr El Din Gamal El Din said the company’s participation in Autotech 2026 provides an opportunity to engage with industry partners and customers and follow changes in the automotive market.
