Egypt is set for its exhibition at the anticipated Dubai Expo 2020, which will showcase the country as a popular investment destination in the region, due to its massive national projects in infrastructure, states Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea.

Dubai Expo 2020, which was delayed due to the pandemic, is slated to be held from October 2021 and will last for six months.

The minister noted that the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition will feature 106 activities, including workshops and discussion meetings, business meetings and cultural salons, in addition to nine specialized exhibitions.

Gamea recently met with Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani to discuss the latest arrangements for the country’s participation in the Dubai Expo 2020.

The exhibition will also reflect the measures taken to attract foreign investments, and efforts regarding smart cities and industrial zones, in addition to the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), she added.

As part of the strategy to display Egypt as a great investment destination, Egypt’s pavilion will be located in the opportunities area, considered as the most important area of the Dubai Expo.

It will be placed next to the UAE’s pavilion reflecting Egypt’s importance in terms of its ancient civilization, experiences, and personality throughout history, said an official statement.

These will focus on the fields of antiquities, education, real estate investment, and Egypt’s Heritage.

Additionally, it will feature recreational and cultural events to attract the largest possible number of audience and visitors to the exhibition.

The pavilion aims to highlight the colors and designs inside the Egyptian pavilion. He said that the Egyptian identity combines the nobility of the past, the development of the present, and the prospect of the future.

El-Anani indicated that an exhibition of archaeological replicas will be organized throughout the duration of the exhibition.
