Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly began a morning tour on Monday in 6th of October City, West of Cairo, to inaugurate and inspect a range of industrial projects across multiple sectors, as part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen the country’s manufacturing base.

The visit was accompanied by several senior officials, including Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid, Minister of Industry Khaled Hashim, Giza Governor Ahmed El Ansary, and Head of the Egyptian Drug Authority Ali Al-Ghamrawy, along with other officials.

During the tour, Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that the government’s continued presence at industrial site inaugurations reflects Egypt’s strong commitment, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to advancing the industrial sector, expanding production capacity, and attracting further investment into the local market.

He noted that strengthening industry is a key pillar of Egypt’s economic growth strategy, as it contributes to job creation, supports export growth, and helps reduce reliance on imports.

He added that the state is actively working to attract priority investment opportunities, including labor-intensive industries that generate employment and training opportunities for Egyptian youth, as well as high-tech, precision industries that add higher value to local production.

The Prime Minister further stressed that ongoing efforts to localize industry and increase the domestic component in manufacturing remain central to Egypt’s development agenda, aimed at boosting competitiveness and enhancing the performance of the national economy.
