The total planned output is 240,000 vehicles, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Presidency.
The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) is preparing to launch the production of a new car model in collaboration with French automotive group Stellantis, with production set to begin by the end of 2026.
The total planned output is 240,000 vehicles, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Presidency.
This announcement came during a meeting held today between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the AOI, to discuss the organization’s current projects and the performance of its affiliated factories and companies.
President El-Sisi directed the continuation of efforts to strengthen cooperation with both local and international private sector companies, in line with the national strategy to localize the automotive industry, increase the proportion of locally manufactured components, and maximize exports of Egyptian-made products.
The new vehicle will be manufactured exclusively at AOI facilities and will not be produced in any other Stellantis factory worldwide.
Currently, AOI is locally producing the Citroën C4X model with a 45% local content rate, in partnership with the Arab American Vehicles Company (AAV) and Stellantis.
The first prototypes of the C4X were completed in March 2025, with plans to produce approximately 7,000 units annually over four years, totaling 28,000 vehicles.
AOI’s Chairman noted that the organization operates under a comprehensive strategy focused on deepening local manufacturing, boosting export levels, and enhancing the industrial and technological capabilities of its factories.
This also includes fostering joint ventures with the private sector by leveraging AOI’s advanced industrial infrastructure.
