His remarks came during a field visit by Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, to several service and development projects in Gharbia Governorate, particularly within the healthcare sector.
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, announced that the ministry is implementing 20 projects across 11 governorates, with an estimated total value of EGP 11.7 billion, as part of the national budget plan for the FY2024/2025.
His remarks came during a field visit by Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, to several service and development projects in Gharbia Governorate, particularly within the healthcare sector.
The Minister noted that between 2014 and 2025, 18 projects have been completed in Gharbia alone, with a total investment of approximately EGP 1.7 billion.
He added that the Ministry continues to enhance Egypt’s healthcare infrastructure nationwide—through building and equipping new facilities, upgrading existing medical centers, and advancing the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance system, which aims to provide comprehensive healthcare coverage for all Egyptians.
Abdel Ghaffar highlighted strong collaboration with the private sector to mobilize the resources needed for improved healthcare services, ensuring financial and operational sustainability of new projects, while also enhancing the efficiency of existing facilities.
These efforts are designed to elevate the national healthcare system, upgrade hospitals, centers, and clinics, and ultimately improve the well-being of Egyptian citizens.
