Egypt’s Petroleum Ministry signs $13.5M agreements for oil exploration in Western Desert at EGYPES 2025

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and IPR International sign an agreement to enhance oil exploration, development, and production in Yidma-Alamein block in the Western Desert.

The partner will invest $10 million, drill four development wells, and pay a $3 million signature bonus.

During the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025), additional new South Dabaa concession agreement was signed between EGPC and Tunisia’s HBS Company.

The new agreement for the South Dabaa block in the Western Desert, signed between EGPC and HBS Tunisia, involves an investment of approximately $3.5 million.

 The project includes the drilling of four development wells and one exploratory well, along with a $2 million signature bonus.
