According to CAPMAS, Egypt's exports to Kenya amounted to $307 million in 2024, down from $327 million in 2023.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Kenya reached approximately $567 million in 2024, compared to $638 million in 2023, according to the latest data released from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
According to CAPMAS, Egypt's exports to Kenya amounted to $307 million in 2024, down from $327 million in 2023.
Among the key Egyptian exports to Kenya in 2024 were paper and paper products, valued at $39 million, electrical machinery and equipment worth $28 million, various food preparations totaling $26 million, plastics and related products valued at $23 million, and iron and steel amounting to $22 million.
Egypt's imports from Kenya totaled $260 million in 2024, a decrease from $311 million in 2023.
The main commodities Egypt imported from Kenya in 2024 included coffee, tea, and spices, totaling $242 million, fruits valued at $6 million, paper and paper products worth $5 million, and live plants and trees amounting to $4 million.
Kenyan investments in Egypt reached $558,000 in FY2023/2024, compared to $146,000 in FY2022/2023. Meanwhile, Egyptian investments in Kenya totaled $453,000 in FY2023/2024, a significant decrease from $10.5 million in FY2022/2023.
