Under the agreement, the new headquarters will serve as a regional hub for Konecta’s global services, covering markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Konecta Egypt, a subsidiary of the Spanish Konecta Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate the company’s operations in Egypt by establishing a new headquarters in New Cairo.
Under the agreement, the new headquarters will serve as a regional hub for Konecta’s global services, covering markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. The group plans to invest approximately $100 million over the next three years.
The company will offer advanced digital and technological services, including AI solutions, digital transformation, big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), technical support, and multilingual customer service (English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish).
Additionally, Konecta will establish its first global Center of Excellence for Generative AI in Egypt. This center aims to transfer knowledge and expertise to Egyptian professionals in areas such as conversational AI, data analytics, and other emerging technologies.
Egypt aims to increase the value of its outsourcing service exports to $9 billion by 2026.
It is worth noting that Konecta is a global leader in business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer experience management.
Operating in 26 countries across four continents, the company is headquartered in Madrid and generates annual revenues of approximately €2 billion.
