Egypt's Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Sherif Farouk, inaugurated the 2024 Nebu Gold and Jewelry Exhibition, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister. The event is the largest annual gathering of the gold and jewelry industry in Egypt, showcasing the country’s leadership in this sector both regionally and internationally.
The exhibition, taking place from December 15 to 17, 2024, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, features 80 exhibitors, including 49 Egyptian brands and 31 international participants. Notably, for the first time, the exhibition includes dedicated pavilions for Turkey and Italy, further emphasizing its global appeal.
Key highlights of this year’s event include the International Buyers Program, hosting 166 participants from 19 countries to foster trade cooperation and boost exports. Additionally, the Jewelry Design Competition has attracted wide participation from Egypt and 13 other countries, while an art exhibition titled Jewelry as a Reflection of Egyptian Identity Through History – The Pharaonic Era celebrates the nation’s cultural heritage.
During the opening ceremony, Farouk expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its role in fostering collaboration between the government and private sector. He noted that the exhibition aligns with Egypt’s vision to become a global hub for gold and jewelry production, leveraging the country’s rich heritage in this field.

He reiterated the Ministry of Supply’s commitment to supporting exhibitors and participants by streamlining procedures and providing a conducive environment to maximize the benefits of the event.
This year’s Nebu exhibition not only underscores Egypt’s ancient legacy in gold craftsmanship but also provides a platform to enhance the competitiveness of national industries on the global stage.
