During the discussion, ways to cooperate between the ministry’s affiliated fertilizer companies and IGSAS in the fields of fertilizer production, technology development, and increasing production capacity were addressed.
Minister Shimi emphasized that the ministry is currently implementing a comprehensive plan to modernize and develop production lines in its fertilizer companies while promoting the use of clean energy to enhance efficiency and boost productivity.
This effort aims to improve product quality, meet domestic market demands, and expand exports, reflecting the ministry’s significant focus on this vital sector’s role in supporting food security.
The minister also highlighted the importance of international partnerships in advancing the fertilizer industry.
He noted that the ministry seeks to expand cooperation with leading global companies in this field to enhance sustainability and product quality, while also emphasizing the role of modern technology in improving production efficiency, reducing emissions, and ensuring environmental compatibility.
The IGSAS delegation presented an overview of the company, including its operations, and production capacities in ammonia, urea, compound fertilizers, and other products.
