Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed a contract with AlKhair Microfinance Company, amounting to EGP 30 million, to finance micro-projects, according to a statement released by the agency.
This contract is expected to contribute to financing about 1,000 beneficiaries, with the aim of creating more job opportunities and helping micro-enterprises compete in the market, CEO of MSMEDA, Bassel Rahmy confirmed.
Additionally, Rahmy explained that the contract will benefit various commercial, service, agricultural, and production projects sectors.
He stressed that this contract comes within the framework of the agency’s work plan to expand the financing of institutions and associations financing micro-projects.
In 10 months, MSMEDA provided up to EGP 4.1 billion to finance 128 thousand projects across Egypt, which created 212,000 job opportunities.
The CEO of MSMEDA announced that during his meeting with Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, in November 2023, to follow up on the agency's efforts during the period from January to October 2023.
