Egypt reviews offers for Wataniya’s acquisition

The meeting reviewed the offers submitted by several international and Egyptian companies, and the advantages of each offer were listed

Egypt is currently reviewing the offers submitted for acquiring the National Company for Petroleum (Wataniya) which is part of its initial public offering (IPO) program.

The meeting reviewed the offers submitted by several international and Egyptian companies, and the advantages of each offer were listed.

This took place during a meeting with Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El Said, and consultants and officials from the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TFSE).

During the meeting, Madbouly confirmed that the government is implementing the IPO program that was previously announced, and it comes within the framework of implementing the state ownership policy document, which aims to empower the private sector and increase its contribution to various economic activities.
