Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. Egyptian business tycoon Hisham Talaat Mostafa attended the meeting with the PM, which was held at Qasr Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting explored opportunities for collaborative effort and joint initiatives across various sectors, focusing on regional and international topics of shared interest, and addressing ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in vital areas essential for the development and diversification of the national economies in both countries.
Madbouly is currently in Dubai for the World Government Summit 2024 held on February 12-14.
Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the leaders discussed the summit's role in empowering decision-makers and actions to better prepare for the future.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the UAE President, expressing sincere condolences and sympathy for the martyrs of the UAE Armed Forces, who tragically lost their lives during a terrorist act in Somalia while training the Somali Armed Forces.
On Tuesday, Madbouly met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, to highlight the two countries’ strong relations and hopes for further bilateral cooperation. He emphasized Egypt’s growing partnership with the UAE, particularly in trade, investment, and economic projects.
The Prime Minister was in attendance on Monday for the extending of a governance cooperation MoU between Egypt and the UAE. Extending the agreement reflected the desire of both countries’ governments to continue cooperation on enhancing and developing joint procedures aimed at strengthening institutional capacities, according to Egyptian Planning Minister, Hala El Said.
