An official source has disclosed Egypt's comprehensive urban development plan for the Northwestern Coastal Region, aligning with the ambitious 2052 vision.

This strategic initiative aims to tackle the nation's forthcoming population growth by concentrating on establishing unique economic activities and generating substantial job opportunities for the Egyptian youth in the coming decades.

Emphasizing the Northwestern Coastal Region's capacity to absorb the anticipated population increase, the official source highlighted the plan's key features. It envisions the creation of multiple new sustainable and technologically advanced smart cities, each designed to attract millions of residents.

These cities are envisioned as focal points for tourism, entertainment services, advanced technological industries, global commercial ventures, and administrative centers for international companies. Moreover, the plan places a high priority on providing exceptional educational and healthcare services to the residents.

Among the cities detailed in the plan, Alamein has already witnessed rapid development steps by the Egyptian government. Additionally, cities like Ras El Hikma, Al-Nagila, and Jargoub are earmarked for development, alongside the enhancement of existing cities such as Marsa Matrouh and El Saloum.

The government is presently in the process of finalizing the development plan for Ras El Hikma, positioning it as the second city in this transformative project, according to the source.

The development is set to unfold through partnerships with globally renowned entities possessing extensive technical expertise and substantial financial capabilities. The ultimate aim is to position Ras El Hikma as a premier tourist destination on the Mediterranean and a global hotspot within the next five years. This initiative aligns with the substantial infrastructure investments made by the state to serve the region.

The official source has confirmed that negotiations are already in progress with several major international companies and investment funds. An imminent announcement is expected regarding the commencement of the development of the region, covering an expansive area of over 180 square kilometers. This visionary project represents a significant stride in Egypt's commitment to sustainable urban development and economic growth.
