Egypt's public sector boomed with 36.1% surge in FY2021/2022 operations

CAPMAS revealed that the cumulative value of operations conducted by public sector companies soared to EGP 59.4 billion in FY2021/2022

Egypt recorded a substantial 36.1% annual increase in the value of operations carried out by public sector companies during FY2021/2022, according to the latest data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

CAPMAS revealed that the cumulative value of operations conducted by public sector companies soared to EGP 59.4 billion in FY2021/2022, a significant jump from the EGP 43.6 billion reported in the previous fiscal year.

The total value of completed roads, bridges, and tunnels skyrocketed to EGP 24.1 billion in FY2021/2022, marking a substantial 42.2% increase from the EGP 17.0 billion recorded in FY2020/2021.

Egypt’s power infrastructure also witnessed significant growth, with the total value of executed power stations and networks reaching EGP 1.2 billion in FY2021/2022, an 86.5% increase from the EGP 7 million reported in FY2020/2021.

The total value of completed educational buildings amounted to EGP 1.2 billion in FY2021/2022, showcasing a notable 13.4% increase from the EGP 1.0 billion reported in FY2020/2021.
