MSMEDA invests EGP 4.1B into 120K projects during 2023

In 10 months, The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) provided up to EGP 4.1 billion to finance 128 thousand projects across Egypt, which created 212,000 job opportunities.

The CEO of MSMEDA, Bassel Rahmy, announced that during his meeting with Prime Minister, MostaEfa Madbouly, to follow up on the agency's efforts during the period from January to October 2023.

Rahmy pointed out that the total exhibitions MSMEDA held reached 138 exhibitions with the participation of almost 3,400 exhibitors, achieving a volume of sales and contracts amounting to EGP 270.8 million.

Regarding MSMEDA's efforts to support small projects in North Sinai, Rahmy declared that the agency pumped EGP 240 million into 15,600 projects.

Early in November, CEO of MSMEDA, Bassel Rahmy, stated that the agency pumped about EGP 642 million from 2014 to 2023, to finance about 9,000 small and micro projects in the North and South Sinai governorates and providing about 20,000 job opportunities.

This came within the scope of the implementation of the state’s strategy aimed at developing and reconstructing Sinai and preparing the business environment to become conducive to the growth of small projects, MSMEDA’s CEO said.
