The United States Embassy in Cairo expressed its gratitude on Friday for the safe arrival of the first groups of American citizens who managed to leave Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.

In a statement shared on its official Facebook page, the embassy conveyed its appreciation to the Egyptian authorities for their instrumental role in ensuring the secure transportation of American citizens to Egypt and beyond.

The consulate officials at the embassy have been providing assistance throughout the evacuation process.

Egypt has a history of playing a crucial role in facilitating humanitarian efforts and crisis management in the region.

The country's strategic location, with its shared border with Gaza, has often made it a central hub for assisting in the safe passage of individuals during times of conflict or crisis.

In this latest instance, Egypt's cooperation has once again demonstrated its commitment to international humanitarian efforts and strengthened diplomatic ties with the United States.
