Egypt's exports to Jordan reached $726.50 million in 2022, marking a 2.20% increase from $711.10 million in 2021
Trade exchange value between Egypt and Jordan witnessed a 7.10% increase in their trade exchange value to record $980.40 million in 2022 compared to $915.80 million in 2021.
According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egypt's exports to Jordan reached $726.50 million in 2022, marking a 2.20% increase from $711.10 million in 2021.
CAPMAS reported that the most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to Jordan during 2022 are fuel and mineral oils worth $155 million, and vegetables and fruits worth $69 million.
Egypt imported goods from Jordan valued at $253.90 million during the January-December 2022 period, representing an annual growth of 24% from $204.70 million.
In the fiscal year 2021/2022, remittances from Egyptians working in Jordan amounted to $792.90 million, surpassing the previous fiscal year's figure of $774.20 million by 2.40%.
However, the remittances of Jordanian citizens working in Egypt experienced a decline of 24.30% year-on-year, dropping to $9.60 million in fiscal year 2021/2022 from $12.70 million.
