These accomplishments are part of a comprehensive plan to modernize transportation elements across various sectors, with a budget allocation that has grown from 2 trillion Egyptian pounds to an expected 3 trillion by 2023.

He highlighted the growth in Egypt's railway projects, emphasizing that daily passenger capacity has increased from 900,000 in 2014 to 1.2 million in 2023.

Moreover, safety, security, and train punctuality have notably improved. It is anticipated that an investment of 75 billion Egyptian pounds will further elevate daily passenger capacity to 2 million and annual cargo transportation to 13 million tons, aligning with global safety standards.

The Minister also discussed the significant enhancement in the nation's locomotive fleet. In 2014, Egypt had 791 locomotives, of which only 400 were operational at a 60% efficiency rate, while the rest were entirely inactive.

By 2023, Egypt boasts 210 brand-new locomotives and 594 locomotives operating at an impressive 80% efficiency. Additionally, 186 locomotives, currently non-operational, have contracts for renewal and refurbishment.

These achievements are emblematic of Egypt's dedication to advancing its transportation infrastructure, fostering economic growth, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of its transportation networks.

The "Hekayet Watan" conference serves as a platform for highlighting these remarkable transformations and setting the stage for the nation's continued development in various sectors.
