Brigadier General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, and Amr El-Beshbishi, Deputy Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, welcomed Lieutenant General Waleed Sayf El-Din, Deputy Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority, and an Italian delegation to establish an agricultural logistics zone for crop production, seeds, fertilizers, seedlings, and more.
Additionally, modern agricultural practices and operations will be implemented. The governor expressed his delight at this visit and the collaboration between the governorate and the Italian delegation, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister.
Brigadier General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, emphasized President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's keen interest in the development of the entire governorate and the establishment of various national projects. The latest project is the logistics zone in Kafr El-Sheikh, situated near Kafr El-Sheikh University, covering an area of 25 acres and providing 30,000 diverse job opportunities.
Furthermore, additional logistics zones are being planned across four governorates nationwide, including Kafr El-Sheikh in the Nile Delta, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the instructions of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, to establish agricultural logistics zones.
The governor of Kafr El-Sheikh added that the governorate boasts fertile land and the presence of the Nile River, creating a favorable environment for agriculture.
He emphasized that the Italian delegation will undertake various measures, including soil and water analysis and the provision of necessary facilities in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the governorate.
The establishment of the agricultural logistics zone is expected to generate a wide range of agricultural products, provide employment opportunities, and facilitate the adoption of modern operating systems.
