The Ministry of Environment signed a cooperation protocol with Istidama to launch the second phase of Climate Change Award in Africa. 

Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad, stressed on the significance of the award as a tool that encourages the participation of different actors in the ecosystem as a continuation of the successes of the first edition of the award, which first launched during COP27.

The award targets players such as small and medium companies in the field of mitigation and adaptation technology, small, micro and emerging companies led by women, bank and investors working in green finance for banks and investors, universities, research centers, and non-profit institutions working in the youth climate education.

The Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency will be providing logistical and technical support for the award by setting the guidelines and standards of evaluation. They will also launch a campaign to advertise and promote the award, and will create a program to train the qualifying participants.
