The significant progress made in the development and production of natural gas and crude oil projects over the past nine years reveals the key to Egypt's petroleum wealth and its attainment of remarkable production rates.

The following information highlights the most crucial details:

1.    Implementation of 53 projects in this field with a total investment of approximately $34 billion.

2.    Foremost among them is the Zohr gas field development project, inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in January 2018. The project's success in achieving early production in December 2017 marked a unique accomplishment for the Egyptian state and the petroleum and gas sector.

3.    The field's production commencement set an unprecedented record timing compared to similar fields worldwide.

4.    The projects included the discovered natural gas fields that were put on the production map, such as Atoll, Nour, North Alexandria, West Nile Delta, Southwest Baltim, Phase 9B of the West Delta Deep Concession, Desouk, North Sinai, North Ameriya, and others.

5.    As for the crude oil production projects, the prominent ones include the development of the North Gisoom field, the re-production project of the Halaib Marine field in the Gulf of Suez, and the development of new discoveries by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and the astonishing field in the Gulf of Suez.

6.    Several projects are currently underway for the development of natural gas and crude oil fields, with a total cost of around $1.9 billion. These projects include the third phase of the North Sinai field development, the tenth phase of the West Delta deepwater concession, the West Burullus development project, and the Safa field development.

In recent years, Egypt's petroleum sector has witnessed remarkable achievements in the development and production of natural gas and crude oil projects. The successful implementation of these initiatives has significantly contributed to the country's overall economic growth and energy security.

Egypt's strategic focus on the petroleum sector has attracted substantial investments and has positioned the nation as a regional energy hub. The continuous progress in this sector has not only enhanced domestic energy supplies but has also opened up opportunities for international collaboration, fostering economic partnerships, and promoting sustainable development.
