Egyptian Chamber of Food Industries, part of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, announced its second annual conference titled "Sustainability and Increasing Investment in the Food Industries."
The conference, scheduled for next Monday, will be attended by Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Meselhi, Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Essam El-Kheshen.
The conference will also include participation from heads of governmental institutions, experts, specialists, and strategic partners of the Chamber, such as the National Food Safety Authority, the General Organization for Standards and Quality, the General Organization for Export and Import Control, as well as members of the Chamber's Board of Directors, leading food manufacturing pioneers, factory owners, and member companies.
Mr. Ashraf El-Gazarly, Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, stated that organizing the annual conference is part of the Chamber's ongoing efforts and commitment to develop and enhance food and beverage manufacturing companies.


The aim is to increase the competitiveness and quality of Egyptian products, represent the interests of its members to all relevant authorities and institutions, and build a positive image of the Egyptian food industries. The conference will showcase policies and mechanisms that promote competitiveness in both domestic and international markets, highlighting the sector's vital role in contributing to economic and social development.
Furthermore, the annual Chamber conference serves as a platform for addressing and discussing the key challenges faced by food producers in Egypt.
It acts as a bridge between experts and all stakeholders to provide recommendations and solutions that contribute to improving the business climate through the creation of a legislative and effective partnership. The conference aims to generate more growth opportunities, increase investment and exports, and enhance the quality and competitiveness of Egyptian food products.
Among the important topics emphasized in the second annual conference are unifying existing legislation and issuing a unified food law to support investment and strengthen cooperation between the government and the private sector in line with market requirements.
Additionally, identifying industry needs and the necessary incentives to boost exports will be addressed, along with a session on implementing facility control systems based on risk analysis principles.

Mahmoud El-Bessoni, the Chamber's Executive Director, mentioned that the conference will showcase the Chamber's significant activities and achievements during the current term. It will also honor industry pioneers. The conference sessions will be live-streamed online to allow the maximum participation of representatives from Egypt's food industries sector.
