Dr. Sherif Farouk, Chairman of the Egyptian Post, met with Ryan McInerney, CEO of Visa Inc., to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Egyptian Post and Visa on the sidelines of the Visa Payments Forum for the Middle East, Africa, and Central Europe in the Netherlands.

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Chairman of the Egyptian Post, stated that the meeting with Ryan McInerney, CEO of Visa Inc., aimed to explore avenues for expanding their mutual cooperation. The meeting addressed Visa's plans to expand in Egypt, considering the government's support for investors in the country.

Leveraging tremendous potential:

 

In a press statement, Mr. Farouk stated that they discussed leveraging the tremendous potential of the Egyptian Post and Visa in supporting the government's initiatives towards financial inclusion and digital transformation.

They also explored and discussed the provision of new financial payment services that meet the requirements of Egyptian youth, enhancing cooperation in e-commerce, and maximizing the participation of Egyptian Post employees in training programs organized by Visa.

He further added that the Egyptian Post is keen on opening avenues of collaboration with all companies and institutions to develop services and provide new services to postal customers.

Ryan McInerney, CEO of Visa Inc., praised the existing relationship between Visa and the Egyptian Post, particularly considering the Egyptian Post as a strategic partner for Visa in Egypt. He welcomed opportunities to strengthen the partnership and explore new horizons.

McInerney emphasized that the company is always committed to enhancing payment experiences for customers and increasing access to financial technology services for everyone, everywhere.
