Egypt's agriculture exports exceed 3.4 million tonnes | AgriMin

The report showed that Egypt’s agricultural exports increased by more than 432K tons year on year (YoY) until May 17th in 2023, reaching 3.427 million tons, compared to more 2.9 million tons.

The Ministry of Agriculture issued a report on total agricultural exports during the period from Jan-May 2023. The report showed that Egypt’s agricultural exports increased by more than 432K tons year on year (YoY) until May 17th in 2023, reaching 3.427 million tons, compared to 2.995 million tons.

The report indicated that the most important agricultural exports are citrus fruits, potatoes, fresh onions, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, garlic, strawberries, beans, guavas, tomatoes, and grapes.

Citrus fruits came in first place at 1.6 million tons, fresh potatoes came in the second place at 668,695 tons and onions came in the third place at 238,916 tons.

Last week, The Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir announced that Egypt’s exports in France, Germany, Greece, Saudi Arabia, and Spain saw a significant jump.

Samir referred to the development of foreign trade indicators between Egypt and France, noting that Egyptian exports to France increased by 136% by the end of 2022, to record 2.1 billion euros. The Egyptian merchandise exports to the French market in 2022 recorded an increase of 54% recording 1.1 billion euros.
