The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) executed over 12 million ATM withdrawals worth approximately EGP 29 billion through its network of ATMs during the two-week period starting from April 13th, 2023.
The bank was committed to feeding all its ATMs, spread throughout the country, to meet the cash needs of citizens 24/7 during the Easter and Eid al-Fitr holidays.
Al Ahly Bank of Egypt owns the largest ATM network in the country, with over 6,600 ATMs spread across all governorates.
The fruitful coordination among all bank employees, specialized in ATM feeding, as well as cash transport companies, especially those machines located in streets and commercial centers, guaranteed the speed and efficiency of the feeding process in case of immediate needs to fulfill all withdrawal operations.
The machines are fed to their maximum capacity, and sometimes more than once a day, especially in densely populated areas and regions of high usage. Immediate monitoring and maintenance of the machines are conducted to ensure their safety and quality.
In addition, over 435 thousand operations were executed through Al-Ahly Online Banking, worth over EGP 31 billion, and over one million operations were carried out through Al-Ahly Phone Cash wallet, worth around EGP one billion, during the same period.
This outstanding performance comes as a continuation of the bank's policy in adopting the latest technological systems and providing outstanding customer service, especially during holidays and peak seasons.
