Global Finance names Egypt’s top Institutional Digital Bank and Consumer Digital Bank

Round one winners are eligible for consideration in round two, which includes regional and global winners as well as global sub category winners

Global Finance magazine has announced the round one winners of two of its Middle East-centered 2022 lists, the World’s Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank Awards and World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank Awards.

Egyptian banks had a solid presence and received several awards in both lists. Round one winners are eligible for consideration in round two, which includes regional and global winners as well as global sub category winners.

For Global Finance’s World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank Awards for the Middle East 2022, Arab Bank was awarded the title of Egypt’s Best Consumer Digital Bank, winning four out of 11 sub-categories.

Arab Bank was awarded for Best Integrated Consumer Banking Site, Best Bill Payment and Presentment, Best Information Security and Fraud Management, and Best Open Banking APIs.

The bank recently reported a net income after tax for the first half of 2022 of $252 million, a 38% increase compared to H1 2021.

For Global Finance’s World’s Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank Awards for the Middle East 2022, Citi dominated the list not only as Egypt’s top Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank, but was also the country winner for Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, and Tunisia.

Citi won three sub-categories awards; Best Online Cash Management Service, Best in Social Media Marketing and Services, and Best Open Banking APIs.
