Part of its efforts to give back to the community, Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Egypt, announced the completion of its first mission in partnership with Egyptian Food Bank by facilitating the donation process for the community and extending its generosity initiatives.

Following the theme of “Ramadan Kareem bel Kheir with Carrefour”, the brand has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank, an NGO dedicated to fighting hunger across the country, where they delivered 2,100 Ramadan boxes to families in need across Egypt.

Carrefour launched the initiative in partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank — on March 13th 2022, by bringing colleagues together to pack and prepare the Ramadan boxes for families.

Carrefour has also extended its partnership with Egyptian Food Bank by introducing an additional activity for shoppers: “Kart El – Kher”, the generosity card, which customers can purchase across all Carrefour stores to help donate a hot meal to those in need during Iftar. To further ensure the safe delivery of the meals, the Food Bank has specialized a delivery program for Carrefour’s meal cards.

Carrefour continues to prioritize the growth and prosperity of its communities by providing the public with opportunities to give back - as the trusted local partner that creates value for the local industry and economy.
