Prior to the official launch and reveal, Opel’s marketing team encouraged consumer interest with several on-ground activations and vague billboards that displayed the car’s silhouette with its tag line “Less Normal.” On-ground activations included Egypt’s first ever “vertical dance show” at Sheikh Zayed’s Park St., alongside Illusion booths at Park St. and the Drive by Waterway for cool photo-ops.
In line with their new emboldened and exciting persona, Opel collaborated with several celebrities and influencers fitting with the brand, including Amir ElMasry, Mahmoud Shoukry, LaylaGhaleb, Nourhanne Eissa, Cynthia Khalifa, Yaya ElSady in its #LessNormal ad, encouraging audiences to guess Opel’s upcoming reveal.
