HealthTech DilenyTech secures $160K to improve breast cancer detection

The fund comes only a few months after the startup was awarded a US patent for a novel AI-enabled image analysis technology

Healthcare startups in Egypt continue to expand as Egypt-based HealthTech startup Dileny Technologies (DilenyTech) LLC secures a $160,000 non-equity grant to expand AI-enable platform to improve and expedite breast cancer detection.

The fund comes only a few months after the startup was awarded a US patent for a novel AI-enabled image analysis technology.

DilenyTech received the fund from the Information Technology Academia Collaboration (ITAC) program affiliated with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The second most common type of cancer, breast cancer records around 2 million new cases annually worldwide.

“DilenyTech aims to revolutionize breast cancer screening and diagnostic workflow via providing innovative AI assistance for more accurate breast cancer detection and expedited reporting. Thousands of healthcare professionals can access our online platform anytime/anywhere. This shall reduce patients’ suffering due to long waiting time as well as inaccurate diagnosis,” said Dr. Ahmed Ehab Mahmoud, Founder, and chief innovation officer.
