Sept 12 | EGX starts week off with mixed performance

The market's turnover stood at EGP 867.9 million after 254.11 million shares were exchanged through about 35,590 transactions

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) kicked off the week with mixed-performance, losing around EGP 2.5 billion in market capitalization.

EGX 30 declined by 0.17% to end at 11,036 points as the only index in the red.

EGX 50 inched up by 0.29% to close at 2,372 points, EGX 70 rose by 1.35% to 2,845 points, with EGX 100 increased by 0.99% to close at 3,832 points.

Market capitalization lost around EGP 2.5 billion, closing at EGP 723.682 billion compared to LE 721.15 billion at the end of Thursday’s session.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 11.55 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 5.16 million and EGP 6.38 million, respectively.

Top gainers of the session were Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas by 19.86%, Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. by 18.91%, AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt by 14.94%, and International Co For Investment & Development by 10.64%.

Top losses of the session were Emerald Real Estate Investment by 5.58%, Egypt for Pourtly by 4.75%, Rights Issue Of Mena For Touristic And Real Estate Inves-1 by 3.68%, North Cairo Mills by 3.29%.
