EGX falls into the red on 2nd day of May trading

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) dropped into the red zone during Monday’s session.

Benchmark index EGX 30 dropped by 0.43% to end the session with 32,211.76 points.

The Shariah index remained unchanged during Monday’s session.

EGX 70 slipped by 0.06% to hit 9,521.67 points, followed by EGX 100 inched downwards by 0.2% to reach 12,948.48 points.

Monday trading saw 1.654 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 4.896 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at EGP 2.2838 trillion.
