Today’s trading saw 609.5 million shares exchanged over 61,966 transactions with a turnover of EGP 1.94 billion

After a stumble yesterday, the Egyptian Exchange is in the green once more.

Benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 1.42% to close trading at 12,779.44 points, with EGX 50 climbing by 1% to end at 2,210.94 points.

EGX 70 surged by 4.37% to end today’s trading at 2,516.52 points, while EGX 100 jumped by 3.41% to close at 3,637.34 points.

Today’s trading saw 609.5 million shares exchanged over 61,966 transactions with a turnover of EGP 1.94 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at EGP 841.23 billion; Wednesday recorded EGP 833.645 billion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptians and Arab investors as net buyers with EGP 298.4 million and EGP 35.18 million, respectively. Foreign investors sold at EGP 333.59 million.

The top gains of the session were by Egyptians Housing Development & Reconstruction which climbed by 255%, East Delta Flour Mills by 11.93%, and AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt by 10.76%.

The largest losses of the session were by El Obour Real Estate Investment which dropped by 9.44%, Gadwa For Industrial Development by 3.89%, and Egypt Aluminum by 2.63%.
