The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) was in the green once more amidst Arab and foreign selling.
Benchmark index EGX 30 surged by 1.39% to end the day at 12,622.34 points, with EGX 50 up by 0.19% to close at 2,177.11 points.
EGX 70 climbed 0.36% to 2,406.21 points, while EGX 100 rose by 0.56% to 3,503.47 points.
Today’s trading saw 458.99 million shares exchanged over 59,123 transactions with a turnover of EGP 1.79 billion.
Market capitalization stood at EGP 828.57 billion.
Trading on securities saw Arab and foreign investors as net sellers with EGP 101.74 million and EGP 85.54 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 187.28 million.
The top gains of the session were by Societe Arabe Internationale De Banque S.A.E. which surged by 19.81%, Misr Duty Free Shops by 19.76%, and TransOceans Tours by 17.65%.
The largest losses of the session were by Minapharm Pharmaceuticals which fell by 14.79%, Egypt Aluminum by 12.04%, and Belton Financial Holding by 5.31%.
