Jan 20. EGX is green, adds LE 6.95B to market cap

Wednesday’s Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green, adding LE 6.95 billion to market capitalization.

EGX 30 increased by 0.98 percent to 11,598 points, with EGX 50 climbing 1.15 percent to 2,338 points.

EGX 70 rose by 1.06% to 2,302 points, while EGX 100 increased by 1.27 percent to 3,313 points.

Market capitalization closed at LE 690.140 billion, with the session adding LE 6.95 billion, compared to Tuesday’s recorded LE 683.18 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 28.14 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 15.5 million and EGP 12.55 million, respectively.

Traded through 57,340 transactions, traded through 712.15 million shares with a turnover of LE 1.719 billion.

Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 28.15 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 12.55 million, and LE 15.59 million, respectively.

Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 11.55 million, and LE 19.05 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 316,779.

Egyptian, and Arab organizations bought at LE 39.7 million, and LE 6.49 million, respectively, while foreign organization sold at LE 15.91 million.

Raya Holding for Financial Investments, Pioneers Holding, and Suez Cement were top gainers of the session at 9.98 percent, 8.45 percent and 7.81 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co., CI Capital Holding for Financial Investments, and Egyptian International Pharmaceuticals (EIPICO) were top losers of the session by 4.34 percent, 3.10 percent, and 3.09 percent, respectively.
