Dec 29| EGX ends trading with mixed-performance just 2 days before New Year

The exchange’s market capitalization value dropped to EGP 753.49 million from EGP 752.99 billion on Tuesday

Closing the day-before the last trading session of 2021 with mixed-performance, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended trading today with 3 out 4 indices in the green, losing around 0.5 million in market capitalization.

EGX benchmark EGX 30 dropped by 0.13% to end Wednesday at 11,898.42 points.

On the other hand, EGX 50 went up by 0.24% to close at 2,077.05 points, EGX 70 barely made it into the green by 0.07% to close at 2,183.29 points, while EGX 100 closed by going up by 0.10% to 3,227.81 points.

The exchange’s market capitalization value dropped to EGP 753.49 million from EGP 752.99 billion on Tuesday.

The session’s turnover reached EGP 997.25 million through trading of 321.73 million shares, compared to EGP 1.2 billion and 329.95 million shares in the previous session.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 41.32 million, while Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 15.63 million and EGP 25.69 million, respectively.
