Ministry of Trade kicks off new plan for Industrial Modernization Centre restructuring

Within the framework of the new restructure strategy, the center launched a new website in both Arabic and English, which includes all the activities and services provided by the center to the industrial sector

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, recently announced a new comprehensive plan to restructure the Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC), with the aim to update its regulations, and contractual and financial procedures, including qualifying young employees to assume leadership positions.

The restructuring is being implemented to achieve transparency and sustainability at the center.

Gamea is determined to restore the center’s position within the national industry system, noting that her ministry will work during the next stage to put the center on the right track as one of the most important entities in the system of development and development of the national industry.

She noted that the center is moving towards acting as the main arm of the ministry for the development and modernization of the national industry in its various sectors.

The minister explained that the ministry is currently seeking to increase the financial resources of IMC to enable it to expand the service programs it provides to the industrial sector, noting that a committee has been formed from within IMC to manage resources in order to achieve the optimal investment of resources.

She added that IMC includes a large number of young talents and cadres that can be used to improve the services provided by IMC to the industrial sector through the implementation of the new policies and visions of IMC that will advance the national industry and increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian product in the local and international markets.

Within the framework of the new restructure strategy, the center launched a new website in both Arabic and English, which includes all the activities and services provided by the center to the industrial sector.

The minister also reviewed the latest developments made by IMC to develop all platforms on social networking sites.

Gamea indicated that the board of directors of IMC will meet periodically during the next phase to discuss new developments and approve them in a way that serves the interest of IMC’s employees and contributes to the development of the Egyptian industry.
