Egypt is an important partner for us | UK’s Foreign Affairs Secretary

He praised the cooperation with Egypt in many projects, including the monorail project whose cars are supplied by UK's Alstom, LRT.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs James Cleverly on the sidelines of his attendance of the coronation of King Charles III on behalf of President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi.

Cleverly highlighted that that Egypt is a significant partner to the UK and an important international player, stressing that both countries should work on expanding bilateral relations to higher levels in the coming years.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly reviewed the state's efforts over the past years to building a modern public transport system that includes the monorail and the new metro lines.

Secretary Cleverly praised the cooperation with Egypt in many projects, including the monorail project whose cars are supplied by UK's Alstom, LRT, and said that this cooperation serves the future bilateral relations.

Later this week, Angola’s Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing Carlos, Alberto Gregório dos Santos is visiting Egypt to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation on the new political-administrative centers, construction of highways and new urban centers.
