Egypt and the UAE have several promising opportunities for fostering industrial, investment, and trade cooperation said Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir.

Samir’s comments were made during a panel discussion as part of the anniversary celebration of Egypt and the UAE’s 50 years of bilateral ties and collaboration.

The 3-day event, held under the theme of “Egypt and the UAE…One Heart,” is expected to see the attendance of over 1,800 participants, including top officials, businessmen, investors, intellectuals, and media professionals.

The events come under the patronage of Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

Both countries aim to further strengthen bilateral collaboration and relations.

The trade minister highlighted that Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Bahrain agreed on cooperating in 12 projects with a total investment of $3.4 billion under the umbrella of the initiative of integrated industrial partnership for sustainable economic development.

Earlier today, Samir met with Emirati Minister of Economy Mr. Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri to discuss methods of developing joint economic relations between the two countries.
