Egyptian ready-made clothing exports achieved $2.437 billion during 2023, and the council aims to restore the positive performance of exports during 2024, according to a statement by The President of the Egyptian Ready-made Garments Export Council of Egypt (RMGEC), Marie Louis.
During the period of February 13 to 15, 2024, the Council in partnership with the USAID’s Trade Reform and Development Project in Egypt took part in the “Magic Show” exhibition in the United States of America, she added. 16 Egyptian companies participated in the exhibition.
Louis emphasized the significance of the exhibition in enhancing international trade for Egyptian companies, increasing Egypt’s exports by providing opportunities for cooperation with international companies, and marketing Egyptian products on the international level.
Within the framework of increasing the volume of exports, she indicated that there are attempts to open new markets through cooperation with commercial representation offices in all nearby countries, in light of the continuing repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, which has negatively affected the global trade movement.
